Being a teen is fun and tough. Sometimes it is even tougher for teens after a brain tumor. School may be harder? Making friends may be harder. Dealing with changes may be a challenge. Sometimes you may just feel more grown up than the people around you.
We get it and have created somewhere for people to go to talk about it and get away. The Teen Heads Up Conference is a unique program for brain tumor survivors ages 13-18 who are looking for answers and people to talk to who understand them. It is also a place for people to go to challenge themselves and relax in beautiful Montana. While we are there, we talk about school, doctors, friends and parents. For the past two years we have built a great group who support each other no matter what. We also have a lot of fun whether it is climbing the rock wall, zipline, archery or just hanging at the pool.
The week-long Conference is held at Camp Mak-A-Dream in Cold Creek, Montana. This year the conference will be from July 27th- August 2nd. Call Stacia Wagner at 866-228-4673 or email swagner@cbtf.orgfor more details.
