Life after high school can be difficult. Adjusting to college life, figuring out what you want to do with your life, trying to become more independent, feeling alone, and worrying about dating make life challenging. Add to it anything that makes you different and the challenges become greater.
For brain tumor survivors this transition, may be lonely, may require way more work and rejection, teachers who don’t understand them and fears about the future. This group is a place to celebrate successes and talk to other teen survivors about solutions.
Monthly meetings are held form 6-7:45 PM at the National Youth Transition Center, 2013 H St NW, Washington, DC 20006 on the third Thursday of the month.
