Decision Making and Choosing Hospitals
By Jessica Elder

Starting with the moment a child gets diagnosed with a brain tumor, parents and families are faced with difficult decisions to make. Some of the decisions parents have to make throughout treatment include which surgeon, which hospital, which treatment protocol. A father known to CBTF recently wrote an article for Pulse Magazine about how he and his family chose a certain hospital for his son's brain tumor treatment. http://pulsemagazine.org/Archive_Index.cfm?content_id=214
He mentioned the influence of the hospital environment, and most importantly, the way in which doctors and nurses responded to his family and his son. What influenced your decisions during treatment?
