This Week's Online Community Discussions for Bereaved Parents

This week we have two online discussions taking place bereaved parents in Jenna's Corner, Children's Brain Tumor Foundation's online community.

A "Coping with the Holidays" message board discussion started today and will remain available to you throughout the holidays. Several parents have already posted messages about the experiences and challenges they face during the holidays, and messages about how they cope with the holidays. To participate in this discussion, please follow these instructions: 

  1. Log in to Jenna's Corner at    
  2. If you are not yet a member of JC, request membership here 
  3. Click on "groups" and then "bereaved parents/caregivers" (if you are not yet a member of the bereaved parents group, just click on "request membership" which will appear near the group.
  4. Enter the first discussion "Coping with the Holidays 2011"
  5. To get an email alert when messages are posted, click on "Subscribe." However, we encourage you to log in and check the message board as some people report not receiving email alerts.

A live, online chat discussion for bereaved parents and caregivers will be taking place on Wednesday, November 16th at 8PM EST. This will be facilitated by Jessica Elder from CBTF and Laurie Burke from the Center for the Study of Loss and Transition. To join this chat, please follow these steps:
