The movie "50/50"

This past weekend “50/50” opened in movie theaters throughout the country.  The movie follows, Adam, a young adult who is diagnosed with a cancerous spinal tumor.  The movie has received great reviews from critics nationwide and I am wondering if any of you have seen the movie and if so, what did you think?

On a side not, I was reading Roger Ebert’s review of the movie and was struck by his closing statement “"50/50" isn't completely true to life, but the more you know about cancer, the less you want it to be”.  He then went on to say “…it creates a comforting myth”.   For those of you who have seen the movie, how well do you think the movie portrayed the affects of cancer on an individual, family and friends?
