CBTF AT A NEW YORK METS GAME
Over the weekend we were invited by the New York Mets to their second home game of the season. Twenty-five members of the CBTF community braved the cold weather to watch the NY Mets take on the Washington Nationals. Entering the ballpark, we were all pleasantly surprised and handed a free knit Mets hat, to keep us warm throughout the evening. In the first several innings of the game, Carlos Beltran hit back to back home runs and a bit later Ike Davis hit a triple; leading the Mets to an 8 to 4 win over the Washington Nationals. It was nice to see an array of families from around the New York and New Jersey area, as well as one family who joined us from Philadelphia. We had a nice time catching up with old acquaintances as well as meeting new friends. Thank you to all who attended and especially to the New York Mets for the generous donation.
